GREENBELT 2014
Thanks to the generosity of the Nene Valley Circuit (and some fund-raising at a Quiz Night) four families (14 people in total) from three different churches in our Circuit to attend the Greenbelt Festival in the grounds of Boughton House over the Bank Holiday weekend. The Greenbelt Festival is a mixture of arts, music and talks, thinking particularly about issues around justice and living out our faith in lots of different ways.
Those who went heard live music, danced, did crafts, went to talks and debates and shared Holy Communion in the open air with thousands of other people. Hot chocolate was bought, bacon rolls enjoyed, and portaloos endured! Old friends were met (we shared Sunday worship with Dave & Jane Warnock) and new friends were made.
I believe these experiences are so important to enrich, encourage and grow the faith of us all – regardless of our ages. I know that at JAM (Circuit Youth Fellowship), we’ll be talking about the things we heard and did for many weeks to come.
It’s impossible to do Greenbelt justice in an article… so we've created a cloud of words offered by all those went.
