The Circuit's Welcome Service for Rev Margaret Eales, who has been 'stationed' (to use Methodist terminology) in the Nene Valley Circuit was held on Friday 3rd October in the Roman Catholic Church at Rushden (the temporary home of 'Hope Methodist Church' in Rushden & Higham Ferrers). Over 100 folk welcomed Margaret and heard Rev Peter Hancock's (the District Chairman) address on Isaiah 52: 7-10 (read by Vaerie Anslow, the Local Preachers' Meeting Secretary), Philippians 2: 1-11 (read by Christine Marshman, a Circuit Steward) and John 21: 15-19 (read by Fr Joe Walsh the Priest at St Peter the Apostle Rushden). Margaret joins us after serving in the Kettering & Corby Circuit and will base her pastoral ministry in our Societies in Rushden/Higham & Irchester, in additon to her overall responsibilites as Superintendent, for the whole Circuit.
