We rejoice to share that we have heard from our Architect advising us that the North Northamptonshire Council granted Planning Permission for the intended works on 19th August 2022 ! Praise the Lord.
We can now proceed with the detailed Surveys needed by potential Contactors and go out to Tender in the hope that the work will commence early in 2023.
One of the (hopefully substantial) Grant Sources we had contacted would not look at our application until the Planning Permission was granted and so that application is in the process of being submitted and we hope to hear from it in the next couple of months. If successful we shall be more or less at our Target Figure to fund the work. We need to continue our fundraising, however, as we are all too well aware of the inflationary forces which may well make our estimated costs figures 'underestimates' - we really need to have a substantial 'Reserve' to cover those eventualities.
